LAKEWAY - Jerry Williams was a devoted husband and father who adored his wife, children, and grandchildren. His sense of humor and ornery personality were infectious. He was best known aggravating and pestering the people he most liked and loved. He enjoyed golfing with friends, watching western movies too loud, and building anything that a friend or family member needed. He could cook a steak just as well as he could crack an inappropriate joke. He loved to make people laugh. His favorite mornings were spent on his porch drinking coffee with Jackie and watching the sunrise. He was unforgettable and often made impactful impressions on the people he met. He took great pride in his children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. He was a man of many achievements, including having five hole-in-ones. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those with whom he met.
He was born to Joe Williams and Nina Williams in 1956. He graduated from Lamesa High School. He married his wife in 1976. He loved his life with her and their two children. Jerry was a Master Electrician who started a successful electrical business which he owned and operated from 1980 to 2000. He sold his business in 2000 and worked for several more years for various companies. He then retired and moved to Art where he and his wife spent many wonderful years on their small ranch. They recently sold their ranch and moved to Horseshoe Bay in to be closer to, and spend more time with the grandchildren.
He died at the age of 64 in Lakeway, in early March. He is survived by his wife (Jackie), of Horseshoe Bay; his son (Dr. Kory Williams and his wife), of Horseshoe Bay, and three granddaughters; his daughter (Kenzie Pierson and her husband), of Keller and two grandsons; his brother Joe Williams and his wife, of Duncan OK; and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his mother in 1972, his father in 1991, and his brother in 2001, his maternal grandparents of Lamesa, and his paternal grandparents, of Midland.
Memorial services will be April 10, at 1:30 p.m. at the Circle 6 Baptist Encampment Tabernacle in Stanton. Mr. Reggie Franklin and Mr. Craig Woodward will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a charitable donation be made to the Stanton Volunteer Fire Department.
