Herman “Butch” Cain

STANTON - Herman "Butch" Cain, Sr., 78 of Stanton, died Aug. 9, 2021. Funeral services will be Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton with Rev. David Harp officiating. The family received friends at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton on Aug. 11.

Mr. Cain was born Sept. 18, 1942 in Bisbee, AZ. He was a life-long resident of Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School in 1961. He was a proud veteran and served in the United States Navy. He worked for Cap Rock Electric for many years then owned and operated Cain's Body Shop until he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanton.

He is survived by his wife Nona; sons Wayne Cain and Brian Cain and wife Brandi all of Midland; grandsons Blake Cain and Brady Cain of Midland; great-grandson Lincoln Cain of Midland; brother Harold Cain and wife Natrell of Brownwood; one niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Glennie Cain; sister Judy Mashburn and nephew David Mashburn.

Pallbearers are Blake Cain, Brady Cain, Barry Cain and Christopher Cain with honorary pallbearers Bobby Kelly and Terry Shanks.
