SNYDER - Violet Christine Stuard Violet Christine Stuard, 96 of Snyder, died Feb. 22, 2022. She was born Sept. 26, 1925, to Dewey Rollins and Hettie Bennett Rollins.
She married the love of her life, Johnny O. Stuard after his return from the service. They spent their lives farming and raising cattle in Midland and Glasscock County. She taught Ladies Sunday School in Stanton and Snyder. She served as election judge and PTA president in the Greenwood community. She was a long time member of the Stanton Study Club.
Services were Mar. 2, at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating.
Interment followed at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services were under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
She is survived by her son Jerry Don Stuard, Midland; daughter and son in law Mary and Jim McDonald of Mathis; sister Lynn Etta Welborn of Katy; four grandchildren Johnny Ray Stuard and wife Kathryn, Damon Stuard, Dusty McDonald and wife Christa, and Misty Zemanek and husband Alvin; seven great grandchildren Colton McDonald, Lochland McDonald, Jack McDonald, Tinsley Zemanek, Tate Stuard, Reagan Stuard, Brittani Estrada, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband John Stuard, brother and sister in law Gerald and Nell Rollins; brother in law and sister in law Dale and Billie Sue Stuard, daughter in law Sharon Stuard, and brother in law Ray Welborn.
