BIG SPRING - Tomas Gutierrez, 82, died April 8, 2022.
Funeral service was ASpr. 12 at Myers & Smith Chapel.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1940, in Colorado City, to Guadalupe and Agapito Gutierrez. He spent 37 years in Colorado City and 45 years in Big Spring.
He loved to work and his cows. He loved to play pool, bowling, and dominoes. He was in a band and they played Norteno music. He played baseball, he was a pitcher and went semi-pro. He was in the rodeo riding bulls. He loved his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and everyone that knew him.
He is survived by son, Tom Gutierrez Jr. of Big Spring; son, Jesse Gutierrez of Big Spring; son, Agapito Gutierrez (Ermalinda) of Stanton; son, David Gutierrez of Big Spring; son, Mitchell Gutierrez (Delia) of Coahoma; son, Ray Gutierrez (Annie) of Big Spring; daughter, Rosemary Frausto (Rafael) of Spur; daughter, Rachel Gutierrez of Big Spring; son, Larry Gutierrez (Johanna Rodriguez) of Big Spring; son, Armando Gutierrez of Tucson; and son, Joey Gutierrez of Odessa; 35 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary S. Gutierrez; and grandson, Martin Gutierrez.
