BIG SPRING - Corina Vasquez, 61 of Big Spring, died Sept. 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 24, 1961 to Juan and Maria Guajardo in Lubbock, Texas and she was raised in Morton. She was the life of the party. She loved going camping, going to the lake and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a caring and loving person. She was a CNA and also did home aide.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her beloved husband Rene Vasquez; daughter Leticia Guajardo; sons John Paul Guajardo (Chesna Pena), Rene Vasquez Jr., and Ruben Carlos Vasquez (Laura Vasquez); grandchildren Lucas Esai Vargas, Marissa Reann Vargas, Nicholas J. Rodriquez, Noralee Renne Vasquez, Aiden Andrew Vasquez, Destiny Rae Vasquez, and Aleeah Alicia Vasquez; great grandson Bryson Esai Vargas, sisters Diana Guajardo, Elva Guajardo (Carlos Mena), Raquel Guillen (Ernest Sanchez), brothers Ruben Guajardo, Gilbert Guajardo, sister-in-laws Mary Vasquez, Alicia Vasquez, Susie Escontrias (Santiago), Yrma Vasquez, Rosa Vasquez, Angie Perez, Peggy Ramiriz (Armando), and Patsy Lara (Fosto).
She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Maria Guajardo, father-in-law and mother-in-law Raul and Ramona Vasquez, and nephew Greg Zapata Jr.
Visitation was Oct. 3, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was Oct. 4 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
