Martin Franco Muñoz, 67 of Midland, died Oct. 22, 2022. Rosary was Oct. 25, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Funeral Mass was Oct. 26, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery.
He was born on Apr. 11, 1955, to Otilia and Maximo Muñoz in Midland. He graduated from Midland Senior High School in 1973. He worked for Sears and Roebuck for many years and Home Depot and Lowes. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and listening to music by Vicente Fernandez. But he loved his family to be around more. He was the best person to be around, he knew no stranger and shared anything he had with everyone.
He married his loving wife Lily Dutchover Muñoz in January of 1984. He was a dedicated father who raised his, mine, and ours.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Lily Muñoz of Midland; sons Jerry Dutchover and wife Angel of Midland, Martin Munoz of Abilene, Ricky Munoz and wife Crystal of Andrews; daughters Cindy Adams and husband Sean of Midland, Neomi García and husband Usbaldo of South Dakota, Monica Munoz Elizondo and husband Hector of Stanton, and 'Popo's Boo', Destiny Rochelle Cortez of Midland; brothers Maximo (Jesse) Munoz and wife Corina of Bastrop, Mickey Munoz and wife Angie of Odessa, Max Munoz and wife Dorothy of Midland; sisters Tina Mendoza of Florida, Ellen Fino of Midland, Fanny Snodgrass of Midland, and Lucy Fino and husband Paul of Midland; 35 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Maximo and Otilia Munoz, brother, Fred Munoz and grandson Ricardo 'Ricci' Munoz.
Pallbearers were Ricky Muñoz, Richard Fino, Tony Snodgrass, Junior Dutchover, Jesse Muñoz, Josh Gilley, Ricky Ortega and Salvador Ortega.
Arrangements were under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
