BIG SPRING - Roland “RoHo” Fryar, 81 of Big Spring, died Nov. 4, 2022. Visitation was Nov. 6 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services were Nov. 7 at Trinity Memorial Park Chapel.
Mr. Fryar was born Feb. 13, 1941, in Big Spring to Imogene and J. W. Fryar. He married Sara Wood, July 13, 1962, in Sand Springs. He farmed in Howard County most of his life.
He loved fast pitch, hunting and fishing. He coached his kid’s teams.
He was a lifetime resident of Howard County and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Sara of Big Spring; two daughters Becca Mattingley (Steven) of Big Spring and Lisa Fryar of Big Spring; one son Jay Fryar (Michelle) of Big Spring; three grandchildren Candice Rea (Brian) of Lubbock, Michael Jackman of Kerrville, and Ryleigh Fryar of Lubbock; two brothers Claude Fryar (Patsy) of Big Spring and Tommy Fryar (Donna) of Austin; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by two sisters Idalou Beall and Bernel Bayes; and his twin brother Ronald Fryar.
