Deborah Kay Johnson, 69 of Georgetown and formerly of Glen Rose and Stanton, died June 13, 2023, in Glen Rose. Memorial services will take place at 2 pm, July 1, at the Walnut Springs Baptist Church. Pastor TJ Joyner will officiate. Deborah Kay Sparks was born on Feb. 1, 1954, in Kermit, to Holden Sparks and Virginia Kennedy. She graduated from Reagan County High School in Big Lake. Two weeks after graduating she married Billy Brad Johnson. The couple was married until his passing in 2019.
Shew loved shopping for antiques, animals, yard work, gardening, the Dallas Cowboys, and most of all being with her family. She was a faithful christian lady who will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memories are her children Sherry Grenier and husband J.D., Jory Johnson, Keegan Johnson and wife Alysia; grandchildren John Dalton Grenier and fiance Brandi, Zackery Johnson, Talon Grenier and wife Annie, Tristen Johnson, and Kennedy Grenier; father Holden Sparks; mother Virginia Strickland and husband William; siblings Marsha Provence and husband Jim, Alan Sparks and wife Verta, Paul Sparks and wife Alicia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Brad Johnson.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.
