SANANTONIO - Rita K. Stephens, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died Sept. 14, 2023. She was born on Dec. 25, 1976, in Stanton. Her loving family and friends mourn the loss of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of those around her.
Her life was celebrated on Sept. 18, during a visitation at Mayfield Baptist Church and a Church Service to commemorate her life.
She was known for her kind heart and unwavering love for her family. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Margaret Courtney.
Left to cherish her memory are her father Mark Zocher, mother Connie Zocher, and husband Greg Stephens.
Her legacy lives on through her children: Mark Zocher; Brittany Taylor; Justin Zocher; Jessilynn Zocher; her siblings: Tasha Zocher; Mark Zocher; Taura Upchi; Shaelynn Zocher. Additionally, she is survived by her adoring grandchildren: Mariposa Zocher; Christian Zocher; Aubrey Zocher; Mark Zocher; and Aurora Zocher. Each one holds a special place in her heart.
Her kind and generous soul extended beyond her immediate family, as she had a close friendship with Katie May, who also mourns the loss of a treasured friend.
Throughout her life, she brought joy to all those around her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
