STANTON - Antonio H. Martinez, 85 of Stanton died on Sept. 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bastrop, on July 18, 1938, to the late Fidel and Vicente Martinez. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Rosary was Oct. 2, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass was Oct. 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Deacon Ignacio Villa officiating. Interment followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughters Rose Garcia, Aurora Rios, Anita Martinez, Sally Barrera, and Erlinda Casas; sons Jimmy Martinez and Ricardo Martinez.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Dolores Martinez, sons Ramiro Martinez, Antonio Martinez Jr., David Martinez, daughters Nancy Taylor and Sylvia Martinez.
Arrangements were under the care and direction of Stanton Memorial Funeral Home & Chapel.
