Brenda Kay Flippo Heifner

MONAHANS - Brenda Kay Heifner, 75, died at her home in Monahans, on Jan. 14, 2024. Born on Aug. 5, 1948, in Lamesa, she was the daughter of George Thomas Flippo and Ruby Lanita McNew. She was preceded in death by her father George Flippo, mother Lanita Whitley, brother Tommy Flippo, nephew Cas Smith and great-niece Robyn Judd.

She graduated from high school in Stanton, and pursued a career in bookkeeping. She spent her life in West Texas, raising her daughters and helping raise her grandchildren. She volunteered as a Girl Scout troop leader for several years. After raising her children, she spent hundreds of hours working on the genealogy of her family and developed relationships with many distant family members. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting and beadwork to create gifts for her family. Her favorite pastime in the late years of her life, was spending time with her granddaughters, Shandy and Kasie.

She is survived by her daughters Kimm Barry and husband Charlie and Stephanie Loschiavo and husband David; her beloved grandchildren Shandy Acosta and wife Lori, Kasandra Loschiavo and wife Loretta, Darrin Loschiavo, and Jeran Loschiavo; her sisters Charlotte Judd, Linda Clark and husband Larry, Darlene Nicholson and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the coming weeks in Lamesa.
