STANTON - Lueva “Lu” Norman, 93 of Stanton, died July 11, 2024, in Midland. She was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Purcell, OK, to the late Wilburn and Minnie Elizabeth (McWaters) Stephens.
She married William “Bill” Spencer Norman and the two raised two children, Danon and Tony. She worked as a babysitter and homemaker. She enjoyed working puzzles, crocheting and loved reading. To many people she was known as Nanny and had the most giving heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Norman; son, Tony Norman; parents, Wilburn and Minnie Stephens; and brothers, Dub Stephens and Bill Stephens.
She is survived by her daughter Danon Allred and husband Bimbo of Stanton; grandchildren Brandy Finck and husband Trey of San Antonio and Dusty Allred and wife Brianna of Lenorah; one great-grandson Hank Finck; and nephew B.J. Stephens of Cromwell, OK.
Graveside services were July 16, at Resthaven Memorial Park. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Martin County Senior Citizens.
