ACKERLY - Dudley Ray Coleman, 96, passed away surrounded by his family Aug. 30, 2024, in Ackerly. He was born on Dece. 28, 1927, to VJ and Mary Louise Coleman in Ackerly, .
Dudley was a Life Member of Safari Club International, as well as the National Rifle Association.
Dudley enjoyed spending his time traveling the world with his family and participating in many hunting trips, especially those to Africa. He was a lifetime West Texas Rancher and Oil man and had also worked in Colorado and New Mexico.
He is loved and missed by his daughter Joanne Coleman and husband Mike Welling; son Michael Coleman and wife Sharon; two granddaughters Kimberly Coleman and McKenzie Coleman and numerous longtime employees which were like family to him.
He is preceded in death by his wife Zula Iris Coleman; and parents VJ and Mary Louise (Haney) Coleman.
Viewing was Sept. 3, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Big Spring. A Graveside Service was in the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring on,Sept. 4.
