BRADY - Carol Jean Noble Gassiot, age 87, of Midland, Texas and formerly of Brady/San Antonio, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Midland. Carol was born September 5, 1937 in McAllen, Texas to James Noble and Juanita (Martin) Noble. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. She attended Southwest Texas State University where she earned her B.S. and master's degree in education. She married Ronnie Gene Gassiot on July 30, 1960, in San Antonio. They resided there from 1960 to 1994, where she was a school counselor for 33 years at Fox Tech High School and Eisenhower Middle School. After retirement, they moved to Brady in 1994, to San Angelo in 2006 and to Midland in 2018. She, with her husband, loved traveling the world including visiting all fifty states and playing with their grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was a former member of the Brady Methodist Church and current member of First Methodist Church of Stanton. Graveside services for Carol Gassiot will be at 10:00am Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady with Reverend Sheldon Johnson officiating. Carol Jean Noble Gassiot is survived by daughter Laurie Fleckenstein and husband Ricky of Stanton, Texas; brother James Noble and wife Carol Lee of Kyle, Texas; grandchildren Ramsey Fleckenstein and wife Holly of Forney, Texas and Rachel McKown and husband Connor of Midland, Texas, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ronnie Gassiot. She had many caregivers at Cowden Cottage in Manor Park.
