Lisa Kay Stanley

DALLAS - Lisa Kay (Hopper) Stanley died Nov. 5, 2025, in Dallas following heart surgery. She was surrounded by her faimly at the time of her passing.

Lisa was born on Feb. 27, 1955 in Big Spring and grew up in Stanton. She was a graduate of Stanton High School and then went on to fashion college in Arlington. After marrying, Lisa and her husband settled and raised their four children in Midland. Upon retirement, they took up “lake life” building a home on Colorado City Lake.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Jimmie Hopper of Stanton.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Bruce Stanley of Colorado City. She is also survived by her children Amanda Binnix of Waxahachie, Alaina Loredo of Fort Worth, Kelly Glenn of Midland, and Keith Stanley of Midland; grandchildren, who affectionately called her LeLe, are Alexandra, Atticus, Julisa, Lucas, Aaron, Savanna, Kaden, Bryson, Addison, Xander, and Zeriyah. She is also survived by many close Aunts and Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Lisa loved going to Fredericksburg and other get aways with Bruce on their Harley Davidson, hosting her grandchildren every summer at “Camp LeLe and Boompaw”, spending time on the lake, the bonds and friendships that were formed with her lake neighbors, going to the annual “Girls Weekend” retreat with her Aunts, Cousins, and Daughters, and of course enjoying her morning Dr Pepper.

She will be dearly missed by multitudes of people, some of whom are literally from around the world. She touched many lives during her 69 years on Earth, none more so than her husband, children, grandchildren, and sons-in-law.

The medical staff at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas provider care and comfort to Lisa.

A Celebration of Life service was at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Branch Building in Midland on Nov. 10. The family asks that everyone please celebrate and remember Lisa’s life and to realize that she is far better off now than we are, being reunited with those who have gone before her while standing, celebrating, and worshiping before her Creator, Lord, Savior, Redeemer, and King – Jesus Christ.

Arrangements were under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
