STANTON - Domingo Luis Rodriguez Sr., age 80 went to be with the Lord Jan. 18, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 12, 1944, to the late Rafael Rodriguez Sr. and Juanita Rosales Rodriguez in Knott.
Domingo was a farmer by trade most of his life. He was a musician who could play the guitar and accordion and even had his own band back in his heyday. He was known to be a jokester, who loved everyone but also could dish out that tough love if you needed it. He is preceded in death by his parents; Rafael Rodriguez Sr. and Juanita Rodriguez, the love of his life Francisca Andrea Rodriguez, siblings; Lupe, Martin, Celestino, Gloria, Sabina, grandchild Michelle and great grandchild Gabriella.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter G. "Cowboy" Rodriguez of Stanton; sons Domingo L. Rodriguez Jr. and wife Michelle of Coahoma, Michael Rodriguez Sr. and wife Inez of Stanton, Joaquin Rodriguez Sr. and wife Lisa of Stanton; sister Ynez Santos of Stanton; brothers Emilio Rodriguez of Caldwell, Albert Rodriguez of Midland, Rafael Rodriguez Jr. of San Angelo; 24 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation and a Rosary were Jan. 21, 2025 at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside service was Jan. 22, at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery, Stanton.
Pallbearers were Michael Rodriguez Jr., Domingo Rodriguez III, John Rodriguez, Mark Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez, and Christopher Adalpe Jr.
