Julia Romero, age 85, of Stanton, TX went to her Heavenly Home, May 29, 2025. She was born July 4, 1939, to the late Matilde Benavides and Bernardo Gutierrez in Taft, TX.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters Silvia Rios, Yolanda Esparza, son Gabriel Romero, sisters; Priscilla Garza, Mary Rodriguez, brother Manuel Gutierrez, twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren as well as many extended family and friends.
She will be reunited in Heaven with her parents, her husband Gabriel Romero, Sr., sister Elena Samora, and grandson Louis Romero.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 2, 2025, from 9:00am to 8:00pm with a rosary being recited at 7:00pm at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home, 408 N. St. Peter, Stanton, TX 79782. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 405 Covenant St., Stanton, TX 79782, at 10:00am. Interment will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Christian Bryant, Devon Gonzalez, Richard Luera, Chris Romero, Gabriel Chapa, Jr., and Greg Bryant.
