AUSTIN - Madelyn Rita Barrett Connolly, 102, was born in Kearny, NJ, on June 23, 1920, and died July 8, 2022. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1942 and was still, to this day, a Member in Good Standing of Delta Zeta Sorority.

Betty Lou Roman

MIDLAND - Betty Lou Roman, 77 of Midland and formerly of Stanton, died June 30, 2022. Funeral service was July 5, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. She was born Feb. 8, 1945 in Lamesa, to Oneta (Hayes) and Opal Langston. She was a longtime resident of Martin County.

LAMESA - Ava Jo (Spencer) Crow was born June 17, 1929, in Klondike Community, Dawson County, to John Floyd Spencer and Loreta (Strange) Spencer. She was an only child helping her parents run the family farm during the summers.
