NORTON - Mildred Ellen (Burks) Burris, 95, died June 15, 2020, at her home in Norton. She was born on June 13, 1925, to Roy and Mary (McQueen) Burks of Norton. She graduated from Ballinger High School in 1942. She was a Pastor's wife for 53 years.

Milton Clyde Keith

LAS VEGAS, NV - Milton (Papa) Clyde Keith was born to the union of Zellar and Geneva Keith on June 21, 1958 in Midland. He married his longtime love Barbara Gail Mitchell on Nov. 22, 1997, where they resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died June 4, 2020.

Kenneth Buchanan

MIDLAND - Kenneth Leon Buchanan, 77, died June 3, 2020. A graveside service was June 5 at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton with Bob Highley officiating. He was born on Nov. 20, 1942 in Lamesa, to Herman and Lela Stephens Buchanan.

Gilbert Vera Cruz

MIDLAND - Gilbert Vera Cruz was born June 25, 1952 and diedJune 3, 2020. A funeral service was June 8, 2020 at Primera Iglesia Bautista. Interment followed at Serenity Memorial Gardens. He was an avid domino player and bowler. He loved poker and golf as his second hobby.

Gene Bland

BAIRD - Gene Bland, 86 of Baird, died on May 30, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. Funeral services were June 3, at the First Baptist Church of Clyde with Rev. Lynn Moore and Rev. Monty Barnett officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Sibyl Staggs Maxwell

KLONDIKE - Sibyl Hooten Staggs Maxwell, 95, died May 21, 2020. She was born in Klondike on March 5, 1925, the seventh of nine children born to Carl and Rose Ella Hooten. You cannot sum up 95 years of a well-lived life in a paragraph.

Larry Don Henderson

BIG SPRING - Larry Don Henderson, 76 of Big Spring died May 18, 2020. Funeral service was May 21, at Trinity Baptist Church with Scott Kirkland, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born July 8, 1943, in Big Spring to Marie and J. D.

David Petree

BIG SPRING - David Petree, 77 of Big Spring died May 11, 2020. Graveside services were at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. He was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Big Spring to Georgia and Glen Petree. He worked for the Highway Department for 35 years. He was a lifetime resident of Martin and Howard County.

Elbert Lee Roman, III

MIDLAND - Elbert Lee Roman III, 75 of Midland, died May 26, 2020, in an Odessa nursing home. Graveside services will be 3:30 pm, May 30, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born Jan. 13, 1945 in Big Spring to Elbert Lee Roman II and Dorothy Jean Stallings Roman.

Maurelia G. Alfaro

STANTON - Maurelia Alfaro died May 19, 2020. She was born Dec. 4, 1944 in Zamora, Michoacan, Mexico. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. May 21, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Tim Schwertner officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
