Grady junior high destroys TLCA, falls short against Garden City

GRADY – Grady’s junior high Wildcats continued their district battles this past weeks with games against Midland TLCA and Garden City. On Saturday, Grady took square aim at Midland TLCA. Despite a slow start the Wildcats finished with a flurry winning 27-3.

Grady clips Bearkats 33-30; playoff hopes dashed with loss

GARDEN CITY – The Grady Wildcats picked up a much-needed district victory last Friday on the road in Garden City but a loss Tuesday night to Borden County ended the Wildcats playoff hopes. A fast start gave the Wildcats a 12-2 lead before Garden City trimmed the advantage to 20-15 by halftime.

Junior high Buffaloes play Crane over the weekend

STANTON – Stanton’s junior high teams were in action last weekend against the Crane Golden Cranes. The seventh-grade girls had an exciting game that started with an 11-3 run by Crane.

Junior varsity Buffaloes almost sweep weekly competition

STANTON – Stanton’s two junior varsity teams were one point away from a perfect week but had to settle for three victories out of four games. The junior varsity girls first game was a stunning 48-0 shellacking of Odessa Compass.

Klondike Cougars top Grady Wildcats

KLONDIKE - Grady’s and Klondike’s junior high girls basketball teams faced off Monday. Klondike jumped out to the early lead and held on for the victory. Scoring for Grady were: Raegan Dennis 2 points, Rylan O'Donnell 2 points, Selig Burge 2 points.

Junior varsity Cats’ district woes continue

GRADY – The Grady Wildcats junior varsity started the season almost unbeatable but has struggled as of late and lost two more district games this past week. Grady had a decent first quarter taking an 11-8 lead but Sands rallied to take a 22-19 halftime lead.

Cougars use massive second quarter to defeat Wildcats

KLONDIKE – A dismal second quarter hampered Grady’s chance of a road victory over Klondike on Monday. The Wildcats had a decent first quarter taking a 7-4 lead but Klondike stepped on the gas in the second quarter to surge ahead at halftime 17-7.
