ANDREWS – The Grady golf season started last week with the Andrews Girls Golf Classic on Feb. 7 and 8.Audrey Marler and Aislynne Mendoza wre the two Lady Cats that competed in the tournament.Marler finished in 5th place shooting a 75 on day one and an 81 on day two.

Wildcats end season with big win over Dawson

– The Grady Wildcats basketball season came to an end on Tuesday night with a blowout victory over Dawson County. Grady will miss the playoffs this year following a loss to Loop last Friday.“Loop was the game that we had to win to have a chance for the post season,” said Grady coach Chris Short.

Lady Cats fall in bi-district to Meadow

- The Grady Lady Cats season came to an end on Monday night in the Bi-District round of the playoffs falling 33-27 to Meadow in Lamesa.The Lady Cats fell behind in the first quarter 14-10. They would battle back in the second quarter to tie the game at 16-16 going into halftime.

Lady Wildcats heading to playoffs Monday

- The Grady Varsity Lady Wildcats finished up district play this past week dropping their final two game against Borden County and Klondike. The Lady Cats finish fourth in district play with a 5-5 record and will now look to the playoffs next week.

Junior High Lady Wildcats wrap up wonderful season

- The Grady Junior Girls Basketball teams put a bow on their wonderful season on Monday after a pair of games with Borden County and Klondike.The Grady A team was an enigma against Borden County and the Lady Coyotes could not figure it out.

– The Grady Wildcats basketball program picked up two wins last week with wins by the varsity and junior high over Klondike.The varsity Cats came out on fire taking a 20-12 lead after the first quarter.

Lady Buffs finish second in District 3-3A

– The Stanton Lady Buffs basketball team are the District 3-3A runner-up after beating Lamesa and Crane to finish the district season 10-2. Coahoma is the district champion.On Jan. 28 the Lady Buffs faced off with the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes.Stanton slow and fell behind 5-0 in the early minutes.

– It was an exciting weekend of basketball in Gail for the Lady Bearkats after rolling three straight opponents to win the Borden County Tournament, one day after clinching the district title. Garden City opened the tournament with host Borden County.

Junior high Lady Kats win Borden County Tournament

– The Garden City junior high girls Red basketball team was in Gail over the weekend for the Borden County tournament.The Lady Kats opened the weekend an amazing performance against Ira. Garden City’s offense piled up 38 points while the defense blanked the Bulldogettes for a 38-0 victory.
