Bates hired to lead Lady Kats basketball

Garden City Athletic Director, Jeff Jones said Glasscock County ISD hired Dustin Bates as the new head varsity girls basketball coach. Coach Thomas Clay, who was hired back in 2020 is retiring at the end of the school year.
Martin County Chamber of Commerce director Carla Ingram presented the annual Lifetime Achievement Award to Carolyn Stone at the Chamber Banquet last week. Stone has been a major supporter of Martin County for many years. by Matthew Blocker

Guardian will be back on Stanton campuses starting next week

- Armed security guards from Guardian Security will be back at Stanton ISD school campuses next week. The Martin County Messenger reported last week that Guardian Security lost insurance coverage to work in schools and had to suspend their contract with the district on April 5.

Rushing leaves Stanton after one year

- The Stanton ISD Board of Trustess are once again tasked with hiring a new athletic director and head football coach. After just one football season, coach Billy Rushing officially resigned as the Stanton ISD Athletic Director on April 8.
