Judge Cox honored for commitment to excellence

GALVESTON - Martin County Judge Bryan Cox has been named a Fellow of the Texas Judicial Academy by the Texas Association of Counties (TAC).The honor recognizes county judges who go beyond the state's minimum education requirements and show dedication to judicial excellence.

Greenwood summer track meet this weekend

GREENWOOD — The Midland Cheetahs Track Club will host the Greenwood Summer Track Meet on June 5-6, 2026, at J.M. King Memorial Stadium.The meet is open to athletes ages 18 and under, with a $15 entry fee that includes unlimited events. Registration closes at midnight on June 3.

Permian Basin Senior Celebration draws hundreds to Stanton

- Senior citizens from across the Permian Basin gathered in Stanton last Thursday as the Area Agency on Aging of the Permian Basin hosted its annual Senior Celebration of the Permian Basin at the Martin County Community Complex.
