STANTON - Carlos Estrada, age 61, passed away on Jan. 26, 2026, in Stanton.
Carlos was born on Nov. 6, 1964, in Midland, and spent his life rooted in West Texas, where he built not only a career, but also a reputation for hard work, kindness, and connection. A skilled welder by trade, Carlos was the proud owner of Estrada Bit, a business he built with dedication and pride over many years. He was passionate about his work and especially loved teaching his trade to others, always willing to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand.
Above all else, Carlos’ family was his reason. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his love for them guided everything he did.
He found joy in music, meaningful conversations, and getting to know people; he truly never met a stranger. Carlos had a gift for making others feel seen and welcome, and his warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tanis and Mary Estrada, and two siblings Jesus Estrada and Michael Estrada. He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Estrada; his three children, Monica Estrada, Jonathan Estrada, and Kathryn Estrada; and his five cherished grandchildren, Macken-zie Estrada, Maurice Quinones, Madalyn Quinones, Michael Quinones, and Kamila Aragon. He is also survived by three siblings, Thomas Estrada, Anthony Estrada, and Theresa Perez, all of whom will forever carry his lessons, laughter, and love in their hearts.
Carlos Estrada will be remembered for his generous spirit, his strong work ethic, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he so dearly loved.
Visitation and rosary were Jan. 28. Funeral Mass will be Jan. 29, at 11am at St. Josephs Catholic Church. Interment to immediately follow at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
