COLORADO CITY Pamela Jean Creek, age 71, went to her Heavenly Home on Jan. 30, 2026.
She was born Dec. 10, 1954, to the late Bill Hayes and Maxine Duncan Hayes in Midland.
Pam was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy was spending time with the people she loved. Whether gathered with family at her lake house in Colorado City or simply sharing everyday moments, Pam created warmth wherever she was. She especially treasured holidays filled with laughter, home-cooked meals, and friendly games, always making sure everyone felt welcome and cared for.
For nearly 20 years, Pam enjoyed her work at the field office, forming lasting friendships along the way. She loved the sense of togetherness that came from cook-offs, Halloween parties, and summer mummers. A true people person, Pam had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a love for animals that matched her love for her family—especially her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.
Pam also spent several years working at Stanton ISD and even took on a paper route for the Midland Reporter-Telegram, always willing to work hard and help others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Pam will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished by those who were blessed to know her.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband Richard Creek; daughter Amy Maddox and husband Roddy; sons Landon O’Neal and wife Misty, Brandon O’Neal and wife Brandy, and Tye Huff; daughter-in-law Shelly Huff, sister Louise Luxton; grandchildren Sadie Maddox, Stevie Maddox, Sunnie Maddox, Seeley Maddox, Trinity McGuire, Hunter Arnold, Katlynn O’Neal, Kallie O’Neal, Charlie O’Neal, Cayden O’Neal, CJ Huff, Rowdey Huff, Dakota Huff; greatgrandchild Jameson, as well as many other extended family and friends.
She was greeted in a Heavenly Reunion with her parents Bill and Maxine Hayes, her son Curtis Huff and her sister Debbie Gauthier.
The family will be receiving friends Feb. 28, at 10am at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11am with Pastor Tuesday Jacobs as officiant. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the care of Stanton Memorial Funeral Home.
