Ronald Wayne Carruth

MIDLAND - Ronald Wayne Carruth, age 66 of Midland, passed away on May 10, 2026, in the loving care of his high school sweetheart.

Ronnie was born on Nov. 22, 1959 in Seminole, to parents Edna and Charles Carruth. He spent his childhood in Hobbs, New Mexico, before moving to Midland to attend Lee High School. It was there that he met the love of his life Delia. Ronnie and Delia grew in love, prioritizing God and family, and reaching career success. His life was full of shared passion, a fun loving spirit, contagious laughter, and gifting knowledge to all who he came in contact with.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He spent his days sharing his dedication to God, vintage hotrods, and rock and roll. His early Colorado hunts later became a way to bond and spend time with his son-in-laws and grandchildren. He knew the power of a tool in hand and a dream in your heart. The rhythm and drum solo of a good song was cherished best in loud volumes, surround speakers, and at one time even on stage.

He is survived by his faithful wife Delia Carruth; four loving daughters, Kristie Carruth, Shawna Whitecotton and partner Joe Adams, Veronica and husband Chris Brown, and Alicia and husband Shelby Welch; and nine grandchildren, Colby Carruth, Hannah Carruth, Evan Melton, Kyle Whitecotton, Branson Brown, Weston Whitecotton, Kason Welch, Braxton Brown, and Emry Welch. He is also survived and cherished by his Mother Edna Walker and siblings Charlie Carruth, Katherine Ford, Montgomery Carruth, and Kristen Iler and loving brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by father Charles Carruth, stepfather Theron Walker, mother and father-in-law Margaret and Joe Paiz, and nephew Dustin Ford.
