Deeann Kargl

STANTON - Deeann Kargl of Stanton, passed away on May 11, 2026.

Graveside services will be May 16, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.

Family visitation will be May 15, at 6:30 p.m. at 408 N. Saint Peter Street in Stanton.

Deeann was born in Ranger, to Wayne and Mildred Loper. Her family later moved to Midland, where she was raised. She graduated from Lee High School in 1976, where she played saxophone in the band.

Deeann will be remembered for her sweet spirit and kindness to everyone whose path she crossed. She showed incredible strength and resilience throughout her long battle with Parkinson’s disease and, most recently, cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Lance Kargl.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Larry Kargl; her children Jimmy Kargl, Whitney Kargl Zipfel and husband Jimmy, and Dustin Kargl and wife Deana; her grandchildren Skylee, Mikah, Caden, Lancey, Liam, and Olivia; and her great-grandchildren Luke, Jeremiah, and Matthew.

She is also survived by her sister Denise Porter and husband Will; her niece Laree Maberry and husband Tyler; her nephew Blaize Perkins and wife Ashli; and her great-nephew Kingsley, and great-nieces Marley and Knightley, all of Midland.
