MIDLAND - Dyann Vogler, 79 of Midland, peacefully passed away on May 5, 2026.
Born Jackie Dyann Reed on Oct. 20, 1946, in Lamesa, to Jack and Mady Reed, Dyann’s roots ran deep in West Texas. She graduated from Klondike High School, where she met the love of her life, David Vogler. They married on Aug. 20, 1966, beginning a partnership that spanned nearly 60 years. Together, they built a home, raised their family in the Klondike community, and later retired to Midland.
Dyann worked for many years as a cosmetologist, where her determination and unmistakable character left lasting impressions on those who knew her. Later, she served as a librarian assistant at Grady ISD, where she especially enjoyed working with elementary-age children. She loved helping with the Grady Picture Memory teams and took pride in encouraging young minds to learn and grow.
Above all else, Dyann loved her family, and her most treasured title was “Gran.”
She is survived by her son Cody Vogler and wife Sherrie of Midland; her daughter Tessa Guelker-Calzada and husband Gregory of Midland; her grandchildren Emilee and Mason Vogler, and Avery and Graham Guelker, all of Midland; her sister Daphna Sutton; and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Vogler; her parents Jack and Mady Reed; her brothers Donnie Reed and Kenneth Reed; and her son-in-law Grant Guelker.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
A private graveside memorial was held on May 9, 2026, in Lamesa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin in honor of Dyann’s love of children and learning.
