HECTOR, AR - Katie L. McGee, 43 of Hector, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2026.
Born on Nov. 21, 1982, in Graham, Katie was the beloved daughter of Roy McEntire and Suzanne Chambers McEntire Coffman. She was a graduate of Hector High School and later fulfilled her calling to care for others by completing the Nursing Program at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. Katie dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Millard-Henry Clinic, where her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.
Katie married the love of her life, Jeff McGee, on September 8, 2011, in Russellville. Together they built a home centered on love, laughter, and family. Above all else, Katie cherished her role as a wife and mother. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend whose caring heart extended far beyond her own family. Nursing was more than a profession to Katie—it was a reflection of who she was. She possessed a servant’s heart and found joy in helping others through both life’s celebrations and its challenges.
A member of the Show Me Your Stethoscope nursing community, Katie was passionate about caring for people. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, working color-by-number books, playing games, and making memories with those she loved. Family gatherings, especially during the holidays, were among her greatest joys.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Donald McCuin; her stepfather Larry A. Dalton; and her aunt Sharlet Posey.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jeff McGee of Hector; her son Mason McGee; her father Roy McEntire and wife Lynn of Russellville; her mother Suzanne Coffman and husband Roger of Hector; her sisters Done’e Sharp of Dover and Rebekah Lemieux and husband Cory of London; her grandmother Rosie McCuin of Stanton; along with numerous other siblings, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were blessed by her love and friendship. She is also survived by two very special friends, Sheila Koster and Shaina Byars.
Funeral services were June 10, at Center Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. David Diffey officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
The family received friends June 9 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Show Me Your Stethoscope at https://smysofficial.org/donate/.
