Francisca Rosa

STANTON - Francisca Rosa, lovingly known to family and friends as “Wela Kika,” passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in Stanton, at the age of 94. Born on June 4, 1932, in Escobares, Francisca lived a long and beautiful life centered on faith, family, and love. A devoted Catholic, she carried her faith with grace and shared it through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Wela Kika found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, sewing quilts, and spending countless hours in the kitchen preparing meals that brought family and friends together. No one ever left her home hungry. She took great pride in caring for others and creating memories around the table. She also enjoyed trying her luck on the slot machines, one of her favorite pastimes that brought her much excitement and laughter.

Her greatest pride and accomplishment was her family. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Maria Hernandez, Rosalinda Rodriguez, Thelma Yanez, and Frances Hernandez and her husband Freddy, along with many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and warm embrace.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Genaro Rosa Sr.; her sons, Roel Rosa and Genaro Rosa Jr.; her grandson, Israel Rosa; her parents; and her brothers and sisters.

Francisca’s legacy is one of unconditional love, strength, faith, and family. Her home was always open, her heart was always full, and her presence made everyone feel welcome.
