STANTON - Abundio Cazares, 72 of Stanton, went to be with the Lord, May 31, 2026.
He was born July 11, 1953, in Stanton, and was raised by Andres and Victoria Cazares.
Abundio worked as a roustabout in the oilfield. He will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dominga Cazares and Adan Saenz, his sister Carmel Rodriguez and brother Luis Cazares.
He is survived by his wife Andrea Cazares; daughter Gracie Saldana; sons David Cazares and Carmen Cazares; sisters Juana Alaniz, Janie Villa, Eva Saenz, and Rosario Juares; brothers Jose Cazares, Juan Cazares and Adan Saenz Jr.; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as many extended family and friends.
A visitation and rosary were June 3, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass took place June 4, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Stanton. Interment followed at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Ruben Cazares Jr., Andrew Saldana, Jaymes Cazares, Austin Strickland, and honorary pallbearer Edgar Saldana.
