SUMRALL, MS - Mr. Hollis Mitchell Douglas, 50 of Sumrall, MS, died July 30, 2026.
Services were Aug. 5, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Sumrall Chapel. Interment followed at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Douglas was the pastor of Fairview Baptist Church, hauled utility trailers for a multitude of businesses, and was employed by Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home. He was a loving husband and father, proud pawpaw, beloved son and brother, and a friend to all. “A Born again God-fearing man”.
He was preceded in death by his father, VE Douglas and his step-father, Ron Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marie Douglas of Sumrall, MS; his mother Sybil Douglas of Sumrall, MS; one son Drake Douglas (Anna Grace) of Sumrall, MS; two daughters, Holly McDonald (Dylan) of Collins, MS and Hayley Eads (Jared) of Sumrall, MS; two sisters, Angela Lyle of Sumrall, MS and Lea Lea Landry (Byron) of Denham Springs, LA; brother Jesse Douglas of Sumrall, MS; four grandchildren, Kimber McDonald, Akillian Douglas, Hollyn Eads, and Archie Douglas; two granddaughters on the way, Aubrey Kate and Harper Grace; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
