Darryl Sisson

STANTON - Darryl Sisson, 87 of Stanton, died Dec. 25, 2020 in Big Spring. Services will be held at a later date due to COVID.

He was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Martin County, to Alva Lorene Cornelius Sisson and Lonnie Hiawhatha Sisson.

He married Rosean Beckman on Sept. 24, 1954 in Stanton. She preceded him in death.

He was a mechanic for Franklin & Sons for over 45 years before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Courtney Baptist Church for many years before it closed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, car-racing and building race cars.

He is survived by Neal Sisson of Stanton and Deana Jones of Greenville, and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosean, one son Darryl Floyd Sisson II and three brothers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.
