He was born on Sept. 30, 1936, in Knott, to Willie Summerfield Shaw and Angeline Peterson Shaw.

He was raised with the proud title of being a triplet. Franklin, Delano, and Roosevelt were born in their parent's home. Growing up in a farming community, the love for family, land, animals, and hard work was deeply rooted in Frank. In 1956, he married his first wife, Mildred Tatum. They had four children: Cynthia, Summerfield, Helaine, and Bryan. He was a civil servant at Webb Air Force Base in his younger years  working first in the commissary and later on the flight line. But his passion was farming. He would later marry Starlie Odean Bryant. He loved her three sons, Don, Chris, and Stephen, as his own. He was known for his generosity. He was always ready and willing to give his friends and neighbors help anytime the need arose. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 15. He was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church of Seminole.

He is survived by his wife Starlie; sister Joann Peugh; brother Roosevelt Shaw and wife Patsy; daughter Helaine Hamline and husband Philip; sons Bryan Shaw and wife Dana, Don Bryant and wife Donna, Chris Bryant and wife Twyla, Stephen Bryant and wife Sherrie; and his grandchildren, Dallas Hopper, Starr Reis, Aaron Shaw, Morgan Shaw, David Hamline, Daniel Hamline, Andrew Hamline, Noah Hamline, Garrett Shaw, Leah Shaw, Amanda Bryant, KC Bryant, Megan Goetz, and Shayla Bryant; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Cindy, son Summer, parents Willie and Angeline Shaw, brothers Marlin Shaw, Gene Shaw, Larry Shaw, Verl Shaw, Summer Lee Shaw, Delano Shaw, and Ronald Shaw, sisters Rhodell Kirby, and Nelda Tobias.
