LUBBOCK - Esther B. DeLeon, 92 of Lubbock, died Apr. 28, 2024. She was born August 27, 1931, to the late Manuel Bustamante and Pauline Mireles Bustamante in Alpine. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband Noe DeLeon; daughters Belinda Kay Rodriguez and husband Monico, Velma Minjarez and husband Frank, Felicia Herald and husband Mike, and Rosa Salazar; sons Simon P Sanchez and wife Carol, Rudy Bustamante and wife Nancy; sisters Lala Muniz and Ramona Fiero; fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Pauline Bustamante and her daughter Sally Mata.
A visitation and rosary were May 1, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be May 2, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Stanton, at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
