Alejandro Perez

LENORAH - Alejandro Perez, 89 of Lenorah, passed away peacefully at his home on Jan. 16, 2026. He was born on Feb. 18, 1936.

Known to his family as “Pops,” Alejandro was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, with family always at the center of his life. A lifelong farmer, he was dedicated to his work and also loved sports, coaching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He rarely missed a game and could always be found supporting his family from the sidelines.

In his spare time, Alejandro enjoyed simple pleasures such as scratch off lottery tickets, going to bingo, watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys, and watching wrestling, all of which brought him joy and were part of his everyday routine.

Alejandro was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Juanita Perez; his sisters, Aurora Gonzales and Maria Duque; his brother, Juan Miguel Perez; and his grandchild, Zach Perez.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hortencia Perez of Lenorah; his daughters, Maria Perez and Belen Rodriquez, both of Lenorah; his sons, Alex Perez and wife Yolanda of Waco, Billy Perez and wife Carolina of Midland, and Carlos Perez and wife Velma of Crane; his sisters, Gloria Ybarra of Midland, and MaryAnn Rubio of Caldwell; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren Viewing and Rosary were Jan. 19, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was Jan. 20, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with graveside services to follow at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.

Pops will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his love of sports, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
