Lauriano F. Maldonado Jr, 74, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Jan. 19, 2024. He was born July 10, 1949, in Pearsall, to the late Lauriano and Guadalupe Maldonado Sr. He enjoyed visiting with family, listening to good music, and joking around all the time. He also enjoyed carpentry work around his house, doing mechanic work and really loved to do body work and prep.

MONAHANS - Brenda Kay Heifner, 75, died at her home in Monahans, on Jan. 14, 2024. Born on Aug. 5, 1948, in Lamesa, she was the daughter of George Thomas Flippo and Ruby Lanita McNew. She was preceded in death by her father George Flippo, mother Lanita Whitley, brother Tommy Flippo, nephew Cas Smith and great-niece Robyn Judd.

Movelda Harp

POST - Movelda (Gray) Harp was born on Sept. 6,1930, in Lamesa, to Arvie Loyd and Sarah Cleta (Wilkerson) Gray. She attended Dawson High School and graduated Valedictorian in 1947. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Billy Joe Harp in Welch, on Oct. 15, 1947. She was a homemaker and worked at the First National Bank, Lamesa. She was a devoted mother and wife and enjoyed cooking, reading, crocheting, traveling and playing games with friends and family. They were such a loving, fun and dedicated couple that always put God first. They were wonderful examples to everyone. She taught Sunday School for many years and pointed dozens of students to Christ.
