– The roundball has started rolling in Grady with the junior high and junior varsity Wildcats starting their season last week.The junior high Wildcats split their first two games of the season for a 1-1 record.The first game was an easy 40-14 victory over Loop.“It was a good start to the year.

Lady Cats basketball teams open season with wins

– Lady Wildcats basketball is running full bore with all three levels playing games last week. The varsity Lady Cats picked up two wins over Wellman-Union and Buena Vista.Against Wellman, Grady opened the game with a 15-0 first quarter run and led 22-9 at the half.

Stanton falls short in thriller with Greenwood

– It was a heartbreaker Tuesday night at Greenwood High School as the Lady Buffs narrowly lost a hard-fought battle with No. 3 ranked Greenwood.The Rangerettes controlled most of the first quarter to build a 15-9 advantage but Stanton chipped away at the lead to trail 27-23 at halftime.

Grady, Garden City all district teams announced

– Several area football players were honored this week with the release of some All-District lists.Grady and Garden City players were honored on the All-District 4-1A DI football team.

Lady Kats stay perfect through first six games

– Basketball season is underway at Garden City. The Lady Kats varsity improved their record to 3-0 this week with wins on the road at Eldorado and Reagan County while the junior varsity improved to 6-0 winning the Midland Christian JV Round Robin Tournament.

Lady Cats start basketball season

- The Grady Lady Wildcats kicked off the start of basketball season last week. The Lady Cats have played three games so far. The Lady Cats fell in their season opener to Lake View 32-27then bounced back in their second game defeating Iraan 51-18.

Bearkats beat Wildcats in season finale

- The Garden City Bearkats and Grady Wildcats faced off in their final district game of the season last Friday at Bearkats Stadium.Grady started the game strong, scoring on its opening drive with a 22-yd Braxton Dillard touchdown.

Grady Golf competed at the Andrews Varsity Fall Golf Tournament Nov. 1&2. Part of the team was participating at the Class A State Cross Country meet. Girls; Audrey Marler was the Champion Medalist shooting 74, 80.
