- Garden City’s cross country teams were in Mertzon on Wednesday for the district cross country meet.The Lady Kats finished as the District Runner-Up and the whole team will be headed to the Region II meet on Oct. 22 in Grand Praire.The team was led by Claire Eggemeyer who finished fourth.

– The Garden City Bearkats wrapped up the non-district season on Friday with a road game against a talented Westbrook Wildcats team.The Bearkats losing skid has reached its fourth week, but the offense had its best showing in several weeks with nearly 400 yards of total offense and no turnovers.

- The Grady Wildcats and Lady Cats competed in the District 6-A Meet on Tuesday at Lubbock Christian University.Varsity girls finished first winning their 3rd straight district title. They had seven runners finish in the top 10 for a total of 27 points.

BIG SPRING - The Grady Cross Country teams traveled to Big Spring this past week to compete in the Big Spring Invitational The Varsity Girls finished3rd overall as a team behind Compass Academy and Lubbock Roosevelt.
Jake Benedict and the Stanton Buffaloes beat Ballinger last Friday in their final non-district game. The Buffs open district at home against Grape Creek on Oct. 18.

Audrey Marler placed 1st as an individual with a gold medal round of 77 strokes.
