The Stanton Buffaloes football team has grown a lot since the first game of the season. Despite the district opening loss, the team still believes they can make the playoffs. Next on the schedule is Littlefield on Oct. 13.

MERTZON – Garden City cross country runners were up early on Wednesday traveling to the District Cross Country Championships in Mertzon. The varsity girls finished second in the team standings with 58 points and qualified for the Region II Championships.

Grady beats Garden City to start district with win

GRADY – The Grady Wildcats opened the District 7-1A season with a 46-26 victory over the Garden City Bearkats at M. W. Tunnel Field in Grady. Hunter McAnally got Grady off to a fast start scoring on a 56-yard run and a 5-yard run on the team’s first two possessions.

Stanton junior high cross country runs at Greenwood

GREENWOOD - On Thursday, Stanton junior high ran at Greenwood. The Girls teams placed 4th and 7th overall with Lanie Burch leading the team finishing 7th. The Boys team was2nd overall with Mason Martinez being top runner in 8th and Jett Rivas close behind in 9th.

Wildcats cross county looks good at Big Spring meet

BIG SPRING - Grady’s cross country teams were in Big Spring last week for the Steer Invitational. The high school girls had a great day finishing second in the team stangins. Macie Stack led the charge with a sixth place finish.
