GRADY – The Grady Wildcats opened the District 7-1A season with a 46-26 victory over the Garden City Bearkats at M. W. Tunnel Field in Grady. Hunter McAnally got Grady off to a fast start scoring on a 56-yard run and a 5-yard run on the team’s first two possessions.

GREENWOOD - On Thursday, Stanton junior high ran at Greenwood. The Girls teams placed 4th and 7th overall with Lanie Burch leading the team finishing 7th. The Boys team was2nd overall with Mason Martinez being top runner in 8th and Jett Rivas close behind in 9th.

VAN HORN – Garden City picked up a big win over Van Horn on Friday to move into the Top 20 in Class 1A. The now ranked No. 19 Bearkats used a massive second quarter to take control of the game and held on for the 32-20 victory.

JV Bearkats bounce back against Westbrook

GARDEN CITY- After a disappointing defeat at the hands of the Rankin Junior Varsity team last week, the Garden City Junior Varsity football team had a bounce back win against one of the two Westbrook Junior Varsity teams Thursday night in Westbrook.

No. 2 Wildcats beat Garden City

GARDEN CITY– It was a tough night for the Garden City Bearkats on Friday as they battled the No. 2 Westbrook Wildcats. Westbrook had the perfect game plan put together and rattled off 60 first half points. Garden City fought every second and scored on an Alejandro Talamantes sixyard run.

SAN ANGELO– The Stanton Buffaloes lost their fourth straight game Friday after falling to San Angelo TLCA 41-0. The Buff’s coaching staff have plenty to be proud of but there were just as many negatives as there were positives.

Lady Kats, Wood win Fall Shootout

BIG SPRING– Garden City hosted the Fall Shootout at Comanche Trail Golf Course in Big Spring on Monday. The Lady Kats were the best team on the course, finishing first with a team total 374 strokes and Rylee Wood was the individual champion with a personal best 78.
