Buff netters play in Forsan

FORSAN - Stanton’s tennis teams opened the season in Forsan. Victoria Alvizo and Zoey Ruiz beat Sterling City in the consolation finals to place fourth. Cody Beasley and Peyton Barnhill lost to Garden City in the consolation finals to finish fifth.

STANTON - The Lady Buffaloes softball season is well underway. At the end of February, Stanton hosted Crane to start the season with a 20-19 victory. Ramirez led the team with four runs and Gonzales, Chapa, and Johnson, scored three runs each.

Grady golfers play well in Big Spring

BIG SPRING - Grady golfers started the season with a strong pair of performances from Kardian WIlliams and Braden Welch at the Coahoma Golf Tournament at Comanche Trails Golf Course in Big Spring on Mar. 2 and 3. Williams placed 3rd in the varsity girls division with a round of 92.

O’DONNELL - The Grady Wildcats lost to the Ropes Eagles Tuesday night in the Bi District round of the Class A state playoffs in the Eagles Nest in O’Donnell. The two teams were evenly matched the almost the entire game.

Buffaloes win Forsan Powerlifting Meet

FORSAN - Stanton’s powerlifting teams traveled to Forsan last week. The boy’s team won the meet with 39 points. Girls 148 Class - 2nd Natalie Taylor with 585 lbs TW 259 Class - 1st Marisela Lozano with 845 lbs TW Boys 114 Class - 1st Tyler Waggoner with a total lift of 735 lbs TW.
