19 Buffaloes going to Abilene for UIL

STANTON - The Stanton Buffalo UIL and OAP students have been busy the last few weeks with multiple competitions. The Stanton High School CX debaters traveled to Austin to compete in the state Cross-Examination meet on Mar. 14-15.

Bearkats honored with all-region selections

GARDEN CITY - The Garden City Bearkats basketball team had a successful season and two of its players received high honors by being selected to all-region teams. Julio Talamantes was named to the TABC All-Region Basketball Team. John Lopez was named to the TSMCA All-Region Team.

Bearkats, Wildcats run and jump at Garden City Relays

GLASSCOCK COUNTY - The Garden City Bearkats and Grady Wildcats competed in the Garden City on Mar 24. Rankin won the team title in the junior varsity boys division with 108 points. Grady finished second with 94 points and Garden City was fifth with 56 points. Individual Results: 3200 M Run 4.

Junior high track teams host Buffalo Relays

STANTON - On Mar. 10, Stanton’s junior high girls participated in the Buffalo Relays at Stanton High School. As a team, the seventh As a team, the seventh grade Lady Buffs finished second overall with 105 points. Forsan won the meet with 127 points. Individual results: 100 M Dash 4.

Buff golfers battle it out at Coahoma

BIG SPRING - The Stanton High School golf teams were in Big Spring earlier this week to play in the Coahoma Invitational Golf Tournament. Girls results from the tournament on Mar. 8.

Lady Bearkats take second in Coahoma Invitational

BIG SPRING – The Garden City golf teams traveled to Big Spring this week to compete in the Coahoma Invitational. The Bearkats Golf Team competed Monday totaling a team score of 411. Brock Braden lead the team shooting a 91 and Walton Marshall finished with a 99.

Stanton track teams open season with Bulldog Relays

COAHOMA – Stantons junior high and high school track teams competed in the Coahoma Invitational last week. Stanton’s seventh grade boys won the team title with 143 points. Coahoma took second with 131.5 points and Forsan placed third with 120.5 points.
