STANTON - The Permian Basin Youth Football League Junior Buffaloes have been competing in the playoffs the past couple weeks picking up several wins and some unfortunate losses. In the second round of the playoffs on Nov. 6: The Flag Buffaloes took on the Greenwood Outlaws.

GARDEN CITY – The Garden City junior high Bearkats and head coach Blake Gant dominated Rankin last Thursday 32-12, finishing the season with an 8-1 record and win the district championship.

STANTON - With a trip to the state playoffs on the line, the Stanton Buffaloes stepped up and delivered an almost perfect performance beating district foe Reagan County 24-0 last Friday night at Buffalo Stadium in Stanton. The Buffaloes didn’t do anything fancy to earn the victory.

WEST TEXAS - The Grady and Glascock County FFA Chapters competed on Thursday at the Texas Tech LDE Invitational. The Grady Radio Team of Ashlynn Peugh, Delaney Saunders and Briley Harrell came away with 1st place honors.

LUBBOCK – Garden City were the 1A/2A Division Sweepstakes Champions at the Texas Tech UIL Academic Meet on Nov. 6 Texas Tech in Lubbock. Math and Science events are placed by grade level and overall. All other events are overall only.

Junior high Wildcats end season with victory

GRADY – It was a good Thursday night for the junior high Wildcats as they won their last game of the season 27-14 over Midland TLCA. Braxton Dillard rushed for two touchdowns while Truman Stack rushed for one and Cal McMorries threw a touchdown pass to Charles Deatherage.

GARDEN CITY – The game started in spectacular fashion for Grady but ended in crushing defeat as No. 7 Garden City rolled to a 57-8 victory Friday night at Bearkat Stadium in Garden City. Grady took the opening kick-off and drove the ball right over Garden City.
