STANTON - Darryl Sisson, 87 of Stanton, died Dec. 25, 2020 in Big Spring. Services will be held at a later date due to COVID. He was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Martin County, to Alva Lorene Cornelius Sisson and Lonnie Hiawhatha Sisson. He married Rosean Beckman on Sept. 24, 1954 in Stanton.

DENTON - Teresa Lynne Christon, 57, died Jan. 2, 2021 in Denton. She was born Apr. 5, 1963, in East St. Lewis, IL to Shirley Ann Henson. She grew up in Stanton, but lived an adventurous life and called many places home including Georgia and most recently Stephenville.

ODESSA - Alvaro Ramirez Mandujano, of Coyanosa, died Dec. 30, 2020, in Odessa. He was born to Tobias and Josefine Mandujano of La Mesita, Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato Mexico on June 11, 1944. As a young man he came to the United States and worked as a bracero across the states.

STANTON - Rev. Leandro “Cano” Gonzales, Sr., 80 of Stanton, died Dec.19, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services were Dec. 30, at the First Baptist Church in Stanton. Interment followed at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.

It’s Hard to believe another year has come and gone. It seems as though it was only yesterday that I trained myself to write 2020 on everything and now it starts all over again with 2021.
