STANTON - Mark David Cotton, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and "Coach," died on Aug. 23, 2024. He was born on Feb. 24, 1956, to Earl and Susie Cotton in Lubbock, and pursued a close relationship with Jesus from a young age.

Dr. Marlin David Springer

MIDLAND - Dr. Marlin David Springer, PhD. died in the early morning hours of July 24, 2024. He was born in Lamesa on May 2, 1938, the first born of Grover and Irene Springer. He grew up in Lenorah and graduatedfrom Stanton High School in 1955.

Nelda Jean Pardue

MENARD - Nelda Jean (Jeanne) Pardue died on July 23, 2024. A good and faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, she finished her race here on Earth with the same quiet strength she showed throughout her life.

MIDLAND - Kimberly Kay Braly, 64 of Midland, died on July 18, 2024. Services were July 29, at Kelview Heights Baptist Church Chapel.She was born on Sept. 26, 1959 in Tucson, Arizona to Neil Frederick Richter and Joice Lynn Marlar-Richter.

Lueva “Lu” Norman

STANTON - Lueva “Lu” Norman, 93 of Stanton, died July 11, 2024, in Midland. She was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Purcell, OK, to the late Wilburn and Minnie Elizabeth (McWaters) Stephens.She married William “Bill” Spencer Norman and the two raised two children, Danon and Tony.

Laura Denise Rivas

LENORAH - Laura Denise Rivas, 72 of Lenorah died on July 15, 2024.The family received friends on July 17, at Gilbreath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on July 18, at First Baptist Church in Stanton. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Billie N. Thomason Estes

Billie N. Thomason Estes entered her eternal rest after 95 well-lived years on July 6, 2024. She was strong, dignified and determined through her final earthly days, traits that marked her character throughout her life. She was small but mighty, fierce as a lion.

Alice Ann Jenkins, 83, was called home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 29, 2024. There was a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park on Friday, July 5th at 1:00 pm. Ann was born January 9, 1941, to Margie and Clyde Sims in Stanton, Texas.

Billy Kirk Powell passed away on June 26, 2024. Billy was born on November 5, 1944, to Charles and Lois Powell in Kermit, Texas. The family received friends from 5pm-7pm, Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.

Ben Froese

Ben Froese, 53 years, 1 month, and 14 days old, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas following a short illness.Ben was born to Bernhard and Katharina Froese, May 11, 1971 in Mexico. Ben has always been a hard and loyal worker. He moved to Stanton, Texas in the late 80’s.
