MIDLAND - Roberto H. Herrera died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Mar. 8, 2023, in Midland. He was born on June 7, 1937 in Presidio County on the San Esteban Ranch between Ft. Davis and Marfa. As a young boy, he attended Blackwell Elementary in Marfa.

STANTON - Hercilia B. Rios, 87 of Stanton, died on March 5, 2023. She was born on Nov. 2, 1935, to Agapito and Otilia Barron in Runge. She enjoyed playing bingo and listening to music. You could always find her outdoors, especially in her garden planting flowers.

Lillian Marie Carroll

STANTON - Lillian Marie (Holder) Carroll, 60 of Stanton, died Mar. 3, 2023. A Memorial Service will be at 2pm, Mar. 11, at First Baptist Church in Stanton. She was born Feb. 26, 1963, in Big Spring, to parents Martin Holder and Dela Holder. She married Charles Carroll in March of 1981.

Ethel Louise Colbert McDaniel

AUSTIN - Ethel Louise Colbert McDaniel passed away peacefully Feb. 17, 2023, in Austin. She was born in 1933 in Oklahoma during the Great Depression. She and her four siblings were raised primarily in the lush greenery of western Oregon then on the hardscrabble of West Texas.
