GEORGETOWN Margie Faye Walker, 95 of Georgetown, formerly of Winters, died Jan. 7, 2023. She was born March 5, 1927, in Big Spring, where she grew up, to Virgil and Zora Fannin. She graduated high school from Garden City. She married C.D. Walker on Nov. 19, 1949, in Hobbs, New Mexico.

JA Luxton

STANTON - JA Luxton died Jan. 5, 2023, surrounded by his family in Stanton. He was born on May 24, 1946, to Mildred Cochran and Charles Edward Luxton in Senora. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, racing cars and playing golf. He was a lineman for Capprock Electric for many years.

Senaido Hernandez

STANTON - Senaido Hernandez, Jr., (J.R., Sandy), 90, died peacefully at his home on Jan. 3, 2023. Rosary was Jan. 9, at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton. Funeral Mass was Jan. 10, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stanton with internment following at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Stanton.

Rodney Karl Roten

CANTON - Rodney Karl Roten, 75, died Dec. 30, 2022, in Canton. Visitation and Graveside services were Jan. 3, 2023, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton. He was born to Louis and Mamie Roten in Stanton, on Feb. 28, 1947.

Benetta Leigh Callender

ODESSA - Benetta Leigh Callender (Bo to her many friends), 57 of Odessa, died Dec. 20, 2022, surrounded by her friends and her beloved dogs. She was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on March 23, 1965, to the late H.M. and Mattie Callender.

Juan Michael Cervantes

BIG SPRING - Juan Michael Cervantes, 70 of Big Spring, died Dec. 24, 2022. He lain in state Dec. 28, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rosary Service that night. Funeral Mass was Dec. 29, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with interment at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

Brandon Morrow

BIG SPRING - Brandon Morrow, 33 of Big Spring, died Dec. 20, 2022, in Stanton, in a motor vehicle accident. Funeral services were at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel Dec 23. Interment followed at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born Apr. 5, 1989, at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Rick Barnett

Rick Barnett died Dec. 19, 2022, at Care Nursing and Rehab in Early with Hospice Care. “We rejoice that he is made whole. No more Dementia or pain. He will be greatly missed by loved ones and friends.” He was born to Russel and Ruth Barnett in Amarillo, on Nov. 29, 1944.

SAN ANGELO Marlene Kay Mims, age 86, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at 7:50 in the evening at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo. She was born May 4, 1936 in Lamesa, to Henry and Marjorie Wilkins. She is survived by her husband Loyd Mims of San Angelo.
