STANTON - Guillermo Ortiz Barboza of Stanton, died July 31, 2020. Visitation and rosary were Aug. 4 at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were Aug. 5, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Michael officiating. Interment was Aug. 6, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Leming.

Jerry Bob Harrison

LUBBOCK - Jerry Bob Harrison died Aug. 1, 2020 at his home in Lubbock at the age of 84. He was born in his grandmother's home in the Lakeview Community to Don and Ruth Harrison on Dec. 21, 1935.

MIDLAND - Jason Flores, 40,died July 26, 2020, in a Midland hospital. He was born March 14, 1980, in Big Spring, to Jose Luis and Lucrecia Flores. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1998 and worked as a warehouse supervisor for NG Resources.

Lorenza Samora

STANTON - Lorenza Samora of Stanton, died July 29, 2020. She was born Nov. 7, 1946 in Marfa. She loved to sew, that was one of her greatest hobbies, and was famous for her pound cake. Visitation and rosary were July 30, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

STANTON - Earl L. Koonce, 86, died peacefully at home on July 22, 2020. He was born on Nov. 17, 1933 in Stanton, to M.L. “Red,” and Reva Koonce.

STANTON - Stephen B. Sisson of Stanton died July 19, 2020, at Midland Memorial Hospital. He was born June 28, 1989, in Midland, to Joanna Lynn Barber and James Andrew Sisson.

James H. Nelson, Jr.

HOWARD COUNTY - James “Jim” H. Nelson, Jr., 62, died July 22, 2020. A long time resident of Howard County, he was a beloved son, cherished by his children and grand-children and a host of friends. An avid outdoors-man, “Pop” delighted in passing his skills along to his family members.

Jerald D. McNeely

DALLAS - Jerald D. McNeely of Dallas, died July 2, 2020, at the age of 86. He is survived by wife Harriet Lauben McNeely; daughters Pamela Jean Baker of Stanton, and Tamara Lynne Cortimilia of Mansfield; five grandchildren, and 17 greatgrandchildren.
