James Clair Epley, Jr.

PUEBLO, CO - James Clair Epley, Jr (Jim), 71 of Pueblo, CO, died Sept. 23, 2022 after years of debilitating health issues. He went by many names, Jim, Jimmy, Big Jim, Jimbo, Ep and Grampy. He was loved by many, perhaps most notably, the SHS Class of ’69.

BIG SPRING - Corina Vasquez, 61 of Big Spring, died Sept. 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 24, 1961 to Juan and Maria Guajardo in Lubbock, Texas and she was raised in Morton. She was the life of the party.

Glenn Daython Madison

STANTON - Glenn Daython Madison, age 83 of Stanton, died Sept. 29, 2022. The family received friends Oct. 2, at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton. Graveside Services were Oct. 3 at Evergreen Cemetery Chapel. He was born to Claudine and EP Madison on Dec. 17, 1938, in Colorado City.

Benjamin Zamudio

STANTON - Benjamin Zamudio died Sept. 30, 2022. He was born in Mexico on May 1, 1944 to Evangelina Naranjo and Victoriano Zamudio Vega. Visitation and a Rosary were Oct. 4, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was Oct. 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Hazel Colleen Church Leonard

MIDLAND - Hazel Colleen Church Leonard, 97 of Midland, died Sept. 26, 2022. She was born in Colorado City, to Steve and Lois Church on July 16, 1925. Carl Leonard Jr., known as “Hoot” and Colleen married in an elopement ceremony during World War II in 1942.

Brenda Evelyn Allred Bracken

Brenda Evelyn Allred Bracken, 64, died Sept. 18, 2022. Memorial Services will be at 10 am, Sept. 24, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. She was born June 8, 1958, in Big Spring, to Jack and Dorothy Allred. She married Bobby Bracken June 6, 1996.

POST - Helen Jo Thomas (Ninny) died on Aug. 30, 2022, where she is once again able to do the things she loves. She was born Nov. 15, 1934 to Dew and Myrtle Davis in Snyder. She married Harold Wayne Thomas on January 27, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico.

STANTON - Constance (Connie) Pinson of Stanton, died on Sept. 3, 2022, after a brief illness She was born on July 25, 1970, to Augustine Hernandez and Frances Hernandez in Roswell, NM. After graduating from Artesia High School, she went on to study at Aladdin Beauty College.
